Saudi
Arabia has used its oil wealth to help it achieve its goal of
transforming the country into an industrial nation.
Juffali is justifiably proud of its early involvement in major
development projects in the Kingdom. In 1945, Juffali was
awarded a concession to form a public utility for the generation
and distribution of electricity for the city of Taif. This was a
landmark project as it was the first private sector power
utility in the Kingdom. Subsequently, similar power utilities
were formed for the cities of Makkah, Medina and Jeddah. Through
the supply and installation of switch-gear, load dispatch
centres and high voltage power cables and lines, Siemens has
played a prominent role in the development of electric power
distribution in the Kingdom.
Today, Juffali supplies the Kingdom’s power and
telecommunications utilities with a wide range of high
technology products.
